Close a portion of Woolwich Street, north and south of the culâ€"deâ€"sac as shown on Map #1 below. It is proposed to retain the southerly portion of the Woolwich Street rightâ€"ofâ€"way to provide a new park entrance to "Kaufman Flats" as well as to recognize Colonial Creek running through the lands. With respect to the northerly portion of the rightâ€"ofâ€"way to be closed, it is proposed to convey a portion of the rightâ€"ofâ€"way to the abutting property owners with the balance of the rightâ€"ofâ€"way (most northerly portion) to be retained by the City to provide access to stormwater management facilities. Close, realign and reconnect a portion of Woolwich Street, north of New Bedford Drive to the newly created University Avenue as shown on Map #2 below. It is proposed to convey the closed rightâ€"ofâ€"way to the abutting property owner. 3. If approved, the subject lands will be conveyed to the abutting property owners at a price consistent with fair market value. 4. Any transaction will be scheduled to close within 120 days of the passage of the appropriate street closing byâ€"law. 5. Pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, no appraisal is required. 6. At an open meeting held on May 15, 2000 Waterloo City Council passed a resolution declaring the above noted lands as surplus. ‘ City Council will consider the above noted road closures, realignment and street name at a meeting to be held on Monday, September 18, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Waterloo City Centre, 100 Regina Street South, Waterloo.
