Along with the good news of receiving the new home, Gualtieri said things are looking up in her family‘s personal lives as well. That part of the process really left an impression on Gualtieri‘s heart. "But when people give such good references and say such wonderful things about you, the feeling is just unbeâ€" lievable." Habitat home recipient After Habitat made the decision, Gualtier became responsible for putting in 500 sweat equity hours, which are to be made up either on the build site or by helping out in other ways such as selling tickets for Habitat events, assisting at other builds, or working in the Habitat Reâ€"store. She also claimed the onus of paying for both the insurance and mortgage on the home. The only difference is the mortgage is interest free; but if her income increases, the mortgage will increase too. Gualtieri said the agree ment doesn‘t worry her. "I know 1 can maintain it," she said. â€" _ And the location of the home couldn‘t be more ideal.
