The Vipers played a solid twoâ€"way game with both the offence and the defence pitching in for the dominating win on the turf at University Staâ€" dium in Waterloo. The Vipers were led offensively by Reid Parkerâ€"Beletz‘s twoâ€"touchdown performance. The Waterlooâ€"Oxford product rushed for a total of 63 yards on the day. Bluevale‘s Gord Radlein was the Vipers leadâ€" ing rusher Saturday with 85 yards. The rookie tailback also added a touchdown. St. David‘s standout Jeff Nosal rounded out the scoring on a 15â€"yard touchdown reception from quarterback Matt Hodge. The Waterloo Ghosts sent three teams to the annual Dorothy Hill tournament and had a number of outstanding individual performances. Triâ€"City Vipers take a bite out of the Hawkeyes Shelby Kurt of the Mite diviâ€" sion Ghosts pitched 10 innings, striking out 27 batters. Charmayne Schaffner of the Novice Ghosts had 16 strikeouts in her team‘s win over New Hamburg.
