Paul Condon, a longtume employee of the University of Waterloo Department of Athâ€" letics {reured), was honoured at a luncheon hosted by Ontario University Athletics on Dec. 7 Condon, and several of his peers nominated by other OUA schools, were recognized for their "lifelong contnbution to the advancement of university sport in Ontario through the media." Condon played an instruâ€" mental role in fostering the advancement of sports inforâ€" mation not only within the OUA, but the CIAU as well Condon arrived at the Univerâ€" sity of Waterloo in 1966 and began work as Director of Intramurals and Sports Inforâ€" mation. Condon is remembered for his work as a trailblazer, as a person who did not hesitate to start and lead organizations, to launch new publications, and to do things in a unique way that very often became the standard among Canadian uniâ€" versitities.
