The also won gold at the North Waterloo Rural Minor Softball League championships in Paris in August. The year end tournament for the North Waterloo League was August 14â€"15. The Wolves got a firstâ€"round bye after comâ€" piling a perfect 18â€"0 regular season record. They won 15â€"1 against Paris and 10â€"3 against Stratford to reach the championship final. In the title game, the Wolves beat Kitchener 5â€"2 to finish their NWRM.SL league play with a perfect 21â€"0 record. The Wolves went into the O.A.S.A. tournament in Kingston the next weekend confident of a good showing. The Wolves beat Kingston 11â€" 1 in the first game. They followed that up with a 13â€"0 shutout of Kitchener.
