Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo Power and Sail Squadron offers new courses Recycle Cycles always needs volunteers to fix up donated bikes, which are then sold for about $40. The nonâ€"profit organization is a project of the Waterloo Public Interest Research Group and any money collected goes into mainâ€" taining the project. It is presently renting the facilities at 322 King St. East in Kitchener The organization is planning to move in October into the old Home Fit building on Queen Street, with the support of the Working Centre, which has purchased it "These bikes will allow us to raise funds and improve the shop, as well as getting the community riding more," said Paul Royston, summer coordinator for the program. Bike Pro has regularly supplied the Recycle Cycles shop with lowâ€"cost tools and parts and supported the efforts of the volunteers there. Just recently, with a grant from the Rotary Club, Recycle Cycles purchased tools and equipment to repair bikes. Recycle Cycles is receiving a donation of over 10 fully operational bikes from Bike Pro Cycle and Sports. The volâ€" unteerâ€"run organization is a community bike project that enables people to purchase inexpensive refurbished bicyâ€" cles and to work on their own bike. Recycle Cycles is ecstaâ€" tic with the donation which allows it to get more bicycles out in the community.
