Two new Waterloo student representatives will be joining the Waterloo Region district school board beginning Sept. 1. jmniler Goodwin, a student at Bluevale Colle, gide institute, and Stephanie Koegler, a student at Woo collegiate institute, will act as stu- dent representatives for the board for the term Sept. l. [999 tojune 30, 2000. They will replace current indent representatives Andrea Hanson a Mellon colkgiate institute and Sarah Luck- hardt of Kitchener-Waterloo collegiate & v0ca- tioml school. The board approved Goodwinls and Koeglerh Two Waterloo students appointed to local public schobl board Goodwin and Koegler were selected by the board for their new positions after they and a number of other board secondary school stu- dents expressed an interest in being student rep- resentatives. Each interested candidate submitted a resume and a letter of good standing from the principal of their schools to the Water- loo Region district secondary schools students' council. The council then selected [we representatives from the submissions it recewcd and presented those names to the board for fmal approval, appointments at a recent board meeting dilly dedicated July 26.
