"It is acknowledging that research works, there are many survivors." Nesbitt said her participation in this year‘s run is a little more modâ€" est than an outright celebration of her victory over cancer. She just wants to tell sufferers that they can return some sense of normalcy to theirt lives. "I might say I‘ve been there and I‘ve done that, and I‘m just getting on with it," she said. She is a member of Terry‘s Team, a group of cancer "survivors" who will be honored for their participation in the event, and who will offer some inspiration to people still battling the auon that left him in tears after the assistant coach of his peewee hockey team verbally assaulted him for the third time in a threeâ€"week peniod last March Some of the alleged abuse included profanity directed at the 12â€"yearâ€"old, threats of physical punishment and an attack on his physical appearance that led the child to seek out correcâ€" tive surgery from a local plastic surgeon The parent initially brought the alleged abuse to the aitention of the head coach of the team, Resident opposes neighborhood heritage designation An Allen Street East landlord does not believe the designation of an uptown resâ€" idential area as a heritage conservation district would be a good idea. Rowell said LACAC wanted to designate the Mary/Allen neighborhood as a heritage conservation district because the area contained buildâ€" ings that were both historically and archiâ€" tecturally significant.
