Beyond Package Tours ... ® oK Frederit ' ?. Upper C forces an Europe. Included ten bre e tour, C J : s takes _ Ralniim When travellers consider their vacation alternatives they often turn to package tour programs "for lack of a better alternative". Often there are programs, tours and travel opportunities that are missed as a result of insufficient advance planming. True, in an industry where "last minute" barâ€" gains are rife, the best cost may be as a result of one of these sellâ€"offs but the product may not satisâ€" fy the need. With this in mind, Frederick Travel has developed a number of unique programs that service specific "niche" markets and / or travel requirements TRAVEL CLUB FOR WOMEN The Travel Club for Women was inspired by hundreds of women who wanted to travel but did not have a suitable travel companion. A format was established, a survey mailed and, on June 13, 1997 our founding members met in Frederick Travel‘s office in Guelph. The Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo chapter had it‘s first meeting on January 13th, 1998 and our club membership grows daily. Members range in age from fortyâ€"one to eightyâ€"three and their main characteristic is their passionate desire to trayâ€" el. The Travel Club for Women publishes a quarterly newsletter featuring articles, travel opportuniâ€" ties, upcoming meetings and addresses the concerns of this market. Upcoming meetings will be held in Guelph on April 1st {with a presentation on walking tours) and on June 9th (with a presentation on Australia and New Zealand!.
