Gingerich, who was a scout for the Siskins, became the GM five seasons ago, replacing Peter Brill. It was a rocky five seasons to say the least, which saw him hire, and fire, five coaches, including Terry Uniac, Rich Ennis, Geoff Ward, Brian Hayton and Rob Hooper. Two others who were hired, but never coached were Greg Bignell and Jeff Brick He saw the team capture the Sutherland Cup in 1993/94 under Ward, who‘s now the head coach for the Kitchener Rangers. The following three seasons saw Siskins bow out twice in the first round. This past season they defeated Camâ€" ridge in the opener, but lost to Stratford in the semifinals.
