All teams from the KW club have qualified to move on to the Divisional Championships in Montreal March 20â€"26 to compete against teams from Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec. Athletes are allowed to enter four events during the competiâ€" tion, Figures, Solo, Duet and Team and there are awards given for an Aggregate Performance in the four events. The most outstandâ€" ing performances of the Kâ€"W athletes came from 12â€"yearâ€"old Megan Poss and 13â€"yearâ€"old Tara Brawley. Poss placed second and Brawley placed fifth in a field of 79 athletes in the 12â€"14 age catâ€" The 1997 Provincial A and AA Ringette Championships are to continue this week until Sunday at the Waterloo Recreation Comâ€" plex, the Albert McCormick Community Centre, the Moses Springer Arena and Waterloo Memorial Arena. Seventyâ€"five teams are competing in the tournament and admission is free.
