One of the main reasons women don‘t seek information about breast health and don‘t seek regular breast screening is lack of time. Another overwhelming factor is fear â€" fear of finding a lump and then fear of potential radical treatments. "In this day and age, people are really busy with their families breast cancer. We also really would like them to realize the imporâ€" tance that all women do a breast self examination monthly, that all women go to a doctor once a year to have their breasts examined, and women 50 years of age and older have a mammogram every two years, It‘s hard to reach women in that category, and we thought we would reach some of them at the worksite," Wilson "We have developed a teaching resource that we will use, and there will be two people doing the presentations â€" a health proâ€" fessional and either an interested individual or a breast cancer surâ€" vivor.
