The 25â€"yearâ€"old Hobson knows that with seven days of backâ€" toâ€"back competition, she‘ll have her work cut out for her in one of the largest fields she‘s ever cothpeted. However, the member of Kâ€"Ws Ziggy‘s Cycling Team, knows that she‘ll be bringing back to Canada a wealth of knowledge from the sevenâ€"day event. "Racing over there is quite different than racing here," said. Hobson, who‘s strength is hill climbing. "In Ontario a race would consist of about 25 cyclists. Over there, the whole road is taken up with cyclists. The ticket, supplied to her by the Canadian Cycling Associa tion, opened the door to possible future national and internaâ€" tional events. As a member of the National Development Cycling Team, going to Brittany France next month has opened the door to her first ever European competition. The Tour du Finistere, a sevenâ€"day stage race, is an event for upâ€"andâ€"coming Canadian female cyclists trying to crack the National Aâ€"team.
