"Right now I would have to say that he‘s the best draft we ever made," McGough said of the Arthur native. r In his first season with the team, he was named the Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year for the Braves, while last year he repeated his MVP honors. The team is currently sitting in sixth place in the 11â€"team league with a 4â€"8 (wonâ€"loss) record, while Disher and fellow netminder Phil Weatherup, sit with a 10.2 goalsâ€"againstâ€"average. It‘s not an average to brag about, but it‘s better than last season‘s 11.1 Waterloo Ghosts gained their first two points of the season in Peelâ€"Halton Junior Ladies Fastball League play this past week earning two ties. Ghosts tied Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo Civitans 1â€"1 on Monday night and blew a 4â€"1 second inning lead to tie Chinguacousy 4â€"4 last Thursday. Ghosts held a 4â€"1 lead going into the seventh inning, but two errors opened the gates allowing Chinguacousy to score three runs and tie the game. Rooney led the offense with three hits, including a triple.
