WCI By Bart Cormier Ah yes. I‘ve always said that the lives of the Vikings never fail to be exciting and this week is no excepâ€" tion. While the interim reports issued on Tuesday may dampen some of our spirits, our sports teams should serve to perk up our hopes. That same day our basketâ€" ball team goes on the road to comâ€" ‘pete at WCSSAA. The next day our junior volleyball team will be striving for excellence at CWOSSA and on Thursday, our senior volâ€" leyball team competes at CWOSSA while the swimming team ventures forth to compete with GCI. Finally, on Friday, the basketball team will also be comâ€" peting at CWOSSA. "But wait," I hear you cry. "What about the arts? Is not WCI the land where arts and sports flourâ€" ish together?" Well, yes it is. In fact, on Thursday, WCI hosts "Colâ€" lective Genius", an arts and crafts show; the first of its kind to be seen at WCI. I know I‘m looking forward to it as I‘m sure, are all of you. Also, a Grade 9 enrichment workshop is being held on Friday in order to benefit our new stuâ€" dents. Last but not least, Friday marks the first teacher‘s casual dress day of the year and since we know how much they appreciate these days, let us all hope that this day is not the last day of its kind.
