According to Glen Trevisani, Market Analyst with CMHC, "The proportion of condominium units which are in the rental market or developer owned and for sale, reflects the extremely oversupplied condition of the condominiums market in the Kitchener CMA." In the Kitchener CMA, 26 per cent of apartment condominiums and six per cent of row condominiums were owned by developers in November 1993. "When the supply of condominiums outpaces demand, developers are forced to maintain ownership and rent the units which were originally intended for Kâ€"W condo market Greg R.
