PUBLIC MEETING BRIDGE/UNIVERSITY CORNER i will be held on July 5, 1993 at 7:00 in the Council Chambers, 3rd ?lm?%mm l‘;&fimwmw;loofil‘hismfiuhwdim cuss a request by 907248 Ontario Limited, who wish to develop the southâ€"east corner of Bridge Street and University Avenue as shown on the KEY MAP. THE CITY In 1991 the applicant originally proposed a 2.81 ha (6.95 ac) Neighbourhood Commercial site and a .2 ha {.5 ac) branch library site. After numerous meetings with the Lexington District Neighbourhood Association and their representatives a compromise is now being proposed. It involves a 1.8 ha (45 ac) Neighbourhood Commercial site, a 1.16 ha (2.87 ac) Multiple Residential site that could yield 42 townhouse type units and a .2 ha (.5 ac) branch library site. 'I\l‘i:ropnul would nq(\:x‘:: an amendment to the Official Plan to designate part of the "Neighbourhood mercial", as well as amendments to the Zoning Byâ€"Law to rezone the lands from Agriculture "A" to Commercial Four "C4" and Medium Density Three "MD3". This issue has been referred to the Ontario Municipal Board (O.M.B.). It is hoped that this compromise will help shorten the O.M.B. hearing while still providing good planning for the community. 'l‘hl:;zlrpo-e of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for public input and corments, before Council establishes a position on these lands which will then be forwarded to the O.M.B. where the deicsion will be made. Additional information relating to the above matter can be obtained by contacting the Planning Group for the City of Waterloo, 100 Regina Street South, or by telephoning 747â€"8758. PLANNING ON PAVING YOUR DRIVEWAY? PLEASE CALL THE CITY OF WATERLOO, .( WATER SECTION FIRST Many water supply valves are located in the pavement area. If the valve needs repair, digging around the valve will be required. It is best to do this before the paving is done OR an unsightly patch could result in your brand new driveway. To avoid this problem please call for an inspection before you pave. Please give us at least Three Weeks, to arrange your inspection. If digging up part of your paved driveway cannot be avoided, we will patch the area to the highest standard; however, we will not replace the entire driveway. Do not assume your driveway contractor will arrange for this inspection, many times they don‘t! So, to help us help you, please Call before you Pave 886â€"2310 The City of Waterloo Traffic and Parking Byâ€"Law does not allow overnight parking on city streets. HYDRANT TESTING AND MAINTENANCE PROGRAM The City of Waterloo Water Department is conducting scheduled maintenance of fire hydrants. This ongoing program is designed to ensure that our hydrants will be ready if needed by the Fire Department. This year‘s program will involve all hydrants in the City of Waterloo and should be completed by the end of October. This maintenance procedure is quite routine, however it may result in some temporary inconveniences such as poor water pressure or coloured water. If coloured water is detected, please open your cold water taps to clear the system. This situation is temporary and should last no longer than 2 hours at the most The staff of Works Services thanks you for your coâ€"operation and understanding.
