Accordâ€" ing to Clements, teaching jobs for he and his wife may be opening in Peawanuck, a small town 400 miles north of Moosonee, close to Hudson Bay. And with the lack of a pool he‘s thinking about changing sports and become a runner. All he needs a section of road to train on, and there‘s plenty of roads available to him in Peawancuk. CARRIER OF THE WEEK Andrew Mulligan KWTFA‘s McFarlane off to Puerto Rico Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo Track and Field Association and national hurdle coach Brent McFarlane is off to the National Olympico Sports Centre in Salinas, Puerto Rico from Aug. 9 to Aug. 22 to teach the LA.A.F. (International Amateur Athletic Federation) levelâ€"~IIHI HURDLES for the NACAC (North American, Central American, and Caribbean Assoc.). â€" The LA.A.F., in conjunction with the Olympic Movement, offer courses throughout the world for the development of track and field. McFarlane who wrote the level II and III sprint and hurdle courses for Canada is well known world wide for his publications (over 300) and books on hurdling (3 to date). His fourth book on hurdling is to be out at Christmas of this year. McFarlane, who was the head coach of the 90 member national junior team in Winnipeg last month, was pleased with Canada‘s results. "The USA brought their strongest team ever with 45 of their 95 athletes going on to the World Junior Championships in Seoul, Korea later in September. We have 22 athletes going to Seoul. Our team spirit, team staff and a great number of personal bests made the week training camp and competition a great experience," McFarlane said. I was particularly impressed with Waterloo‘s Kathy Butler who won the 3000m for Canada with a severe case of strep throat." ENERGOGY I am interested in carrying papers on ..........
