Fourth place Eric Venema was just a second off the pace. â€" The race started with 100 cyclists with Braun‘s Bicycle sponsoring West Germany‘s team. There were 77 finishers. The eighth stage of the Tour du Canada was held Friday in Guelph. The final stage of the Tour ends at the CNE in Toronto.
