Contract signed PAGE 4 â€" WATERLOO CHRONICLE, WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 2, 1987 The Waterloo County board of education has signed a twoâ€"year contract with its 1,900 elementary school teachers. â€" s In the first year of the new agreement, the teachers, members of the Waterloo County Women Teachers‘ Association and the Ontario Public School Teachers‘ Federation, received a 4.4â€"perâ€"cent increase effective Sept. 1, 1987 through Dec. 31. They also won a further 1.9â€" perâ€"cent increase, effective Jan. 1, 1988 to Aug. 31, 1988. The second year of the new contract includes a 4.25â€"perâ€"cent increase, effective Sept. 1, 1988 to Aug. 31, 1989, and a costâ€"ofâ€"living allowance which begins at 4.25 per cent and tops at eight per cent. The board also agreed to increase its contribution to the dental plan premium from 75 per cent to 90 per cent in the second year. The previous twoâ€"year contract had expired Aug. 31. From evidence gathered at the rear of Bun‘s Master Bakery, Mary did arrive but was abducted from that location. A witness saw a 1978 or ‘79 brown Ford pickup leaving the scene with its lights off, at approximately the same time. Mary Hammond is now 29 years of age.
