Rau, in both her fifth year of kimesiology and Athena basketball, was selected as the tournament MVP at the Carleton Invitational tournament this weekend. She scored a game point average of over 20, shooting 65 per cent from the floor. Her play help the Athenas capture the bronze medal. Rau is a former Mike Moser award winner and threeâ€"time OWIAA allâ€"star. Froese, a fifthâ€"year mathematics/chemistry student, led the Warriors to a runnerâ€"up position at the University of Guelph tournament this weekend. A 6‘3" native of Stratford, Froese scored 35 points in two games and collected an amazing 15 rebounds from the guard position. A coâ€"captain, Froese is a threeâ€"time OUAA allâ€"star and in 1985 led the nation in free throw shooting. His play will be a big factor in Waterloo‘s success at the Naismith Classic this weekend.
