Police believe two suspects worked at the safe until they eventually were able to open it. A large amount of cash was stolen from the safe. Mary Johnston public school, named in tribute to one of Waterloo‘s most vibrant educators, will be officially opened Wednesday, Oct. 28. The event will be held in the school gymnasium beginning at 7:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Mary Johnston, retired principal. Mary was the first female principal in the City of Waterioo, and has led a distinguished career in education. The evening‘s ceremony will include the presentation of a key to Principal Don Schafer.
