Pat Walsh, coâ€"convenor of the fair stated, "With due respect to all the politicians, VIPs and sports figures who do their share of volunteer work, there really are no ‘superstars‘ in volunteering. Every volunteer is important. Everyone makes a contribution in their own way." A refreshing simplicity will be evident at Volunteer Fair 1987 as fair organizers place special emphasis on the role that "ordinary people" play in making volunteering work. This year‘s fair will be held at Fairview Mall Oct. 22, 23 and 24 during normal mall hours. Featured at the fair will be some 45 exhibitors representing local charitable service groups.
