PAGE d - WAMOO am mason. MAY C. How would you like your very own tie, autographed by David Peterson? The hockey stick used by Toronto Maple Leaf Rick Vaive in the series against St. Louis? Borje Saiming's skates, a magic carpet ride over Kitchener-Waterloo or the chance to sing with the Mercey Brothers? These are just some of the thrills that will be up for auction Mon. May ll, when the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce holds its second annual Thrill of a Lifetime Auction. Event organizers report they have already collected more than 20 items for the auction block, although they're being pretty tight-lipped about specifics. "We've got to keep a few secrets. I can say there's something here for everybody...we‘re giving people a chance to do things that they've probably always dreamed of," said Janice Bockmaster, of the Waterloo Chamber. Nt's a fun event--we've got some bargains, and we've got a few things that'll really be surprises. Our emphasis was to get auction items that you just couldn't buy in a store," said auction organizer Tom Drake. The Thrill of a Lifetime Auction will be held at The Seagram Museum. and admission is free. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and entertainment by the Glen Chatten Band. The auction will get underway promptly at 7 p.m. Proceeds raised through the auction will be used to help the Waterloo Chamber offset capital expenditures for facility and equipment improvements.
