Chuck and Tricia make a special effort to stock Canadiana books and especially the work of local authors. Chuck said some sections have really "taken off". ‘"We‘ve had great sales in Philosophy, Poetry, Women‘s Issues, Business books, Computers, and Chilâ€" dren‘s books. We also have over 30 magazines, periodicals, and journals." For the budgetâ€" minded, there also a selection of books at discount prices and more of these will be featured in November. All are at 10:30 in the bookstore and are free of charge. Adult programs begin Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. in the Seagram Museum with Liberal Sheila Copps who will speak along with Liberal Senator Keith Davey. Copps will be speaking about her first book, ‘‘*Nobody‘s Baby‘"‘ and giving advice to women interested in a political career. Davey, once dubbed the Rainmaker because of his ability to make votes appear seemingly out of nowhere will speak about his book, "The Rainâ€" maker." On Nov. 5 at an 8: 30 a.m. breakfast, at the Seagram Museum, Timothy Findley will speak about his latest book, "The Telling of Lies." This is his first effort at mystery storytelling. Along with him, local poet Jane Urquhart will talk about her first novel, ‘"The Whirlpool" . Tony Aspler, and Margaret Visser will discuss two of our favorite pastimes â€" eating and drinking. In the Seagram Museum on Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. Aspler will talk about his latest books ‘"The Tony Aspler International Guide to Wine"" and ‘"The Wine Lover Dines‘" while Visser examines the traditions, technology and politics of food with references to her book, ‘‘Much Depends on Dinner‘‘. £ Finally, Joseph Levy, coâ€"author of "It‘s Never Too Early‘" will be at the Words Worth bookstore Dec. 5th. at 7: 30 p.m. to sign copies of his book and discuss questions about planning and retirement. Dr. Levy is a professor at York University, formerly at UW and writes a column in the Kâ€"W Record. There is a charge for the programs held in the Seagram Museum.
