Macbeth public performances wrap Young Company residency The Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo Symâ€" phony Youth Orchestra, under the musical direction of Victor Sawa, will present its first conâ€" cert of the 1986â€"87 season Sunday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Theatre, Centre in the Square. The program consists of Brahms‘ Symphony No. 2. Exâ€" cerpts from Bizet‘s Carmen Suites, Nos. 1 and 2, and Beethoâ€" ven‘s Piano Concerto No. 1, featuring 14â€"yearâ€"old guest soâ€" loist, Susan Harms of Waterloo. Harms, an awardâ€"winning pianist in such prestigious events The Young Company of the Stratford Festival of Canada will conclude its six week residency at University of Waterloo with three prformances of Shakespeare‘s timeless tragedy Macbeth. Macbeth will be performed Thursday, Oct. 9 through Saturday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. in UW Theatre of the Arts, University of Waterloo. B asy â€" The Young Company of the Stratford Festival have been in residence at University of Waterloo since September 2 after their summer season in Stratford where they performed Macbeth and ‘"‘The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui‘" on the Third Stage. While at the University, the Company has been working with students of the University‘s Drama Department, giving performances and workshops for area high school students and conducting performance workshops for area community theatre groups. The public performances of Macbeth are the grand finale of the residency. Following their stay in Waterloo the Young Company will embark on a tour of the entire province of Ontario.
