Siskins manager Pete Brill was still waiting for official word from the OHA as of Sunday, but he had heard he would be expected to ‘‘submit two or three dates to the OHA‘" and then it would be up to Sugar Kings to accept one of them. ‘‘I‘m sure the game will be here (Waterloo arena)," said Brill. "I guess we‘ll have to buy somebody out of their rental Elmira won‘t drop one of their Sunday (home games). I just have to get confirmation from the OHA of what they‘re trying to tell us." Roy Abraham scored four goals against Badgers. Frank Anagnostopoulos scored twice and single goals went to Lyndon Hooper and Kevin Kuppers. Abraham and Kevin Adams had the goals in the win over Gryâ€" phons. Hawks beat Warriors 3â€"1 in Wednesday‘s contest, then went on to rout Brock Badgers 8â€"0 on Saturday before posting a 2â€"0 shutout over Guelph Gryphons on Sunday to claim four wins in four games. Warriors, meanwhile, imâ€" proved their wonâ€"lostâ€"tied mark to 1â€"3â€"2 as they tied 1â€"1 with McMaster Marauders on Saturâ€" day and beat Ryerson Rams 2â€"0 on Sunday. ‘‘We‘re hoping to be ranked this week," said Hawks coach Barry Lyon. ‘"Brock was the only ranked team (in the OUAA west division) and we beat them quite handily."‘ Siskins had been scheduled to play host to Elmira Sugar Kings on Nov. 15 and Jan. 31 at the Waterloo arena but the arena had been dog_ble booked on those Saturday nights due to a mixup. The first Saturday night game conflicted with the Gold Puck tournament and the second clashed with a ringette tourney. With no other ice time apparently available in Waterloo, Siskins were prepared to hand Sugar Kings two wins without playing but the Ontain Hockey Association wasn‘t about to allow that to happen. â€" Siskins and Sugar Kings will be able to play on Nov. 15 after all because the Gold Puck tournament has been rescheduled for the weekend of Nov. 22 to avoid a clash with the Blueline tournament in Kitchener. In the past the Blueline tournament has been held in February but that has been inconvenient for teams involved in Ontario Minor Hockey Association playoffs at that time. So for everything to have a happy ending, the game originally set for Jan. 31 must be rescheduled and the OHA addressed the problem at a meeting last Wednesday. Half of Waterloo Siskins‘ scheduling problems have been solved and they have a change in dates of the Gold Puck tournament to thank for it.
