Chief negotiator for the board Alf Dietrich said Monday that although the board's negotiating team had "extended (itself) to the exteme limit" in its latest contract offer, which was reject- ed by teachers in a vote last week, they were nevertheless willing to meet with teachers representative and "listen to what they have to say." "In the interest of the educa- tion of the students we are privileged to serve it behooves the board to go back and listen," said Dietrich. "Hopefully by lis- tening to each other there is room for some basis of agree- ment."
