PAGE 32 â€" WATERLOO CHRONICLE, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 1986 Siskins‘ Mike Gingerich goes off balance crossing the blueline in Friday night‘s exhibition game with London Diamonds. Many things may be going well at Waterloo Siskins‘ training camp but the team is behind schedule in one important way. Richard O‘Brien Chronicle Staff Siskins lack scoring touch in weekend exhibition games It‘s time for Siskins to be winning some exhibition games and over the weekend they weren‘t doing so. Siskins lost 7â€"3 te London Diamonds Friday night and 9â€"6 to Listowel Cyclones Sunday afterâ€" noon. Both games were played at the Albert McCormick arena. Now the team has just one exhibition game to get ready for the 1986â€"87 Midwestern Junior B Hockey League season as they meet Kitchener Ranger B‘s Thursday at 7: 30 at the Kitchenâ€" Thursday in London they beat the Diamonds 4â€"2. â€"On location bank financing â€"We will certify your car â€"We buy the tradeâ€"ins â€"We clean and advertise your car, â€"We guarantee every car just pick up your cheque when â€"We accept any good clean car, sale is completed. 1980 or newer CALL BERT DUECK AT DUECK MOTORS INC. Siskins are down to 20 skaters and two goaltenders and haven‘t signed any new players recently. But some players from the Waâ€" terloo minor hockey system have looked impressive. Rob Hunter, a 19â€"yearâ€"old who plays defence or forward, has versatility to offer. Another impressive player is 15â€"yearâ€"old centre Scott McPherâ€" son. ‘"We‘re fairly high on Scotty," said Brill. ‘"We think he‘s had an excellent camp. We‘d put him on a midget card so if things don‘t work out with us he can go back to midget hockey." The jury‘s still out on some other Waterloo players including centre Rich Goode and right wingers Brad Hyde and Brad Kit. Left winger Nick Georghâ€" iades and defenceman Rob Thiel have also had good training camps. Carlo Magi, Rob Hunter, Doâ€" minic Niro, Mike Fair, Mike Barbeau and Barry Radcliff, a right winger from Thunder Bay who has signed with Siskins, all scored against Listowel. Siskins have shown a lack of offence in exhibition games and no doubt the door will remain open during the season for new players with a scoring touch. At the same time, Cyclones appear stronger than in the past few seaâ€" sons. er auditorium *‘We definitely wanted to win the one against Listowel. Up to that point we were experimentâ€" ing with lines and combinations. We‘ve kind of settled in and it was disappointing on Sunday because there was just no effort there." ""I think we eertainly wanted to win the last two exhibition games to get ready for the regular season," said Siskins manager Pete Brill. 743â€"2064 Hamberger has more than 10 years experience in accounting and management, all of them in the T‘Er_i:gty area. _ In the newlyâ€"created position, Hamberger will be responsible for the operations of production, sysâ€" tems, accounting and credit.
