Ghosts have signed nine players, four of whom are outâ€" fielders who hit over .300 last season. They are Jane Bell, Jackie Stockie, Sue Sutherland and Tracy Fowler. Infielder Karen Miller has also signed for her second season as a Ghost. Laure! McLaughlin is new to the team at the shortstop position and she brings with her valuable experience gained while playing on Canadian championship teams including the Milâ€"Dor the Milâ€"Dor Twins and Milverton Juniors. McLaughlin‘s experience will be especially helpful as Ghosts venture forth as a tier one team for the first time. As a tier one team, they will play in tourâ€" naments of a higher calibre although they remain in the Midwestern Ladies Softball League. . Ghosts, however, are losing some experience since Shellie Snyder and Janet Lanteigne will no longer be playing for them. Snyder has moved to Oshawa and Lanteigne has retired as a player. Ghosts‘ season opener will be played Sunday, May 25 when they host Sarnia in a doubleâ€" header starting at 1 p.m. McLaughlin Take a moment. To make their day. Once a month.
