Lori Nelson On Thursday, March 6, we held our 8th annual Talent Show. 1 believe it was the best yet. There were a lot of different acts. Everyone got involved. In the dance acts there were 10 girls, two boys who danced to the songs "Dancing in the Street" and "Marvellous". Costuming was spectacular with colourful wigs on the girls and flashing lights on the fellows‘ hats and bow ties. They all did a terrific job. One of the most popular acts was the Air Band who imitated Motley Crue‘s ‘"Smoking In The Boys Room". Themusicians were Mike Gesufatto on guitar, Colin McColgon on drums, Greg Holdaway was the singer and Mark Freiburger played bass. Our boys looked almost like the real Motley Crue. The boys put on a great performance. The senior and junior choir sang some very lovely songs such as, ‘"The Rose", "Over the Rainbow", "Love Me Tender® and ‘"What Ever Will Be". There were two solo performances by Erin Gale singing "Something Stupid‘‘ and Diane Medieros singing "Sound of Music‘‘. They sounded super! The teachers at our school always get involved in the show by creating their own acts. They gave us a good laugh in their comedy act and made us realize that we have some very talented singing teachers here too. We would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Johnson for coaching her wonderful dancers, to Mr. Batte for the musical acts and Mr. Ferguson for making it all possible, Mrs. Strohmeyer and home management girls for the costumes, Mrs. McFadden and the beauty culture girls for the makeâ€"up and hair, the stage and lighting crew and all the performers. This was the best show ever! Bluevale Joyce Lee The candidates for next year‘s K.R.T. (Knights of the Round Table) met yesterday and camâ€" paigns are underway.
