Canada Post Corporation is expanding special deliâ€" very service to many more countries and raising the maximum amount of insurâ€" ance available on internaâ€" tional parcels next month. Effective April 1, Canaâ€" dians will be able to send letters, postcards, small packets and other air letter post items special delivery to 135 countries around the world, compared to 20 counâ€" tries today. The maximum insurance available on parcels to many countries will double to $1000, the same as for domestic parcels. Also coming into force are modified regulations to enâ€" able blind persons to send by surface mail "talking books," tapes and other recorded items free to virâ€" tually all other countries. These items can now only be sent free to or from recogâ€" nized institutions for the blind.
