PAGE 34 â€" WATERLOO CHRONICLE, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5 Quiet school doesn‘t mean learning‘s over For MacGregor Senior Public School students, there is more to their educaâ€" tion than working within the school building. On Thurs., Mar. 6, they will be boarding buses and travelling to six different centres throughout southern Ontario. One group of grade sevens will be visiting the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, while another group tours the Parliament Buildings at Queen‘s Park, the Royal Ontario Museum and the Planetarium. The third grade seven group will be touring the Kitchener Art Gallery and the Centre in the Square in the morning, and will be attending an organ recital at St. Anâ€" drew‘s Presbyterian Church in the afternoon. Meanwhile, a group of grade eight students will be visiting the Grand River Conservation Authority and the Wrigley Corners Outâ€" door Education Centre in Cambridge. Another group will be visiting the Toronto Zoo. The third group will spend a busy day in the Niagara Falls area. These offâ€"campus trips are held in November, March and May so that the students participate in all three excursions at their grade level. Numerous parents are acâ€" companying the students on these trips and assisting the MacGregor staff with superâ€" vision. The parents and the staff meet with the students to discuss arrangements and expectations for the various excursions, and also meet to have a followâ€"up to the trip, as well. So if you find MacGregor Public School on Central Street vacant on Thursday, rest assured that the stuâ€" dents definitely were learnâ€" ing and actively participatâ€" ing in their education.
