L. Siegfried Hall at the University of St. Jerome‘s College. Format for the evening includes Cassidy‘s lecture followed by a coffee break and question period. Born in England in 1937, Dr. Cassidy spent ten years of her childhood in Australia. She studied medicine and qualified as a doctor at Oxford University in 1963. In 1971 she went to Chile to further her surgical career. Her friendship with missionaries led to her involvement with the poor and ultimately to her arrest and grizzly torture at the hands of security forces.
