WEDNESPAY, FEBRUARY 19, Bluevale collegiate's midget Knights basketball team won its first-ever Waterloo County championship with a 38-32 win over Eastwood Rebels in the final game of a weekend tour- nament. Benj Litke led Knights scoring with 14 points and Brad Roth and Chris Bumov also had strong games. Leading up to the game with Rebels, Knights had beaten KCI, Elmira and GCI in the tour- nament. Knights finish with a season record of 22 wins, four losses. She was fifth in that event but took bronze in the 100 butterfly. She took silver in the 50 free in 27.55 seconds, a new UW team record and that time qualified her for the CIAU meet.
