In roundâ€"robin play the Cubs first met the Hamilton West Huskies and were edged 5â€"3. Don Mills thumped the Cubs 7â€"1 in game two. The Cubs lone win in the series came against Welland by a 2â€"1 score. In the fourth and final game of the series Oakville defeated the Cubs 6â€"4. With a 1â€"3 record in the series the Cubs were eliminated from further play in the tournament. Wasps tie once in tournament Waterloo novice selet Wasps were deâ€" feated 5â€"2 by Colonels in their first game of a tournament. They went on to tie Titans 2â€"2 before losing 5â€"1 to Cosmos. Sean Huiser played a strong game against Colonels, scoring both goals. Asâ€" sists went to Ryan Moore and Shaun Duffy. _ Jeff Collins scored an unassisted goal against Cosmos and a strong offensive effort was turned in by the line of Jamie Harrison, Jeremy Witmer and Brandon Dietrich. Atom Saints stumble Robbie McGill turned in a solid twoâ€"goal performance against Titans, Mickey Zanâ€" ardo earned an assist and good defensive play by David Corso contributed to the tie.
