How ironic, that as man sings of peace, the mushroom cloud looms over his head and threat of nuclear war lingers on. In 1983, Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo Amateur Theatre presented No Time For Tears, poignant pot pourri of song, dance and dialogue, focusing on the question of nuclear holocaust. Simply, a preâ€"arranged funeral is a practical way of determining an indiâ€" vidual‘s wishes in advance. The preâ€" arranged funeral provides the opporâ€" tunity to decide the type of services preferred and outline instructions for final arrangements. If you are planning your own funerâ€" al, preâ€"arrangement can also serve as xf Comprised only of two in the cast, it took a great deal of talent and energy to tackle this format of cabaret theatre, and KWAT won its artistic battle with flying colors. Last Call concerns the world‘s last two survivors, a pair of hardâ€"core cynics, blindman Eddie Morose (Tom Roedding) and psychotic Morgaine Gross, escaped from a nearby peniâ€" tentiary (Aruna Handa) Wandering aimilessly in the radiation zone, both are brash, bold and canvincing in their dismal philosophy of love, hate and the ravages of war which have literally left their mark. Handa as Gross and Roedding as Morose had complete audience control and respect front start to finish. Handa with her smoky vocals and punchy delivery evolved cich but agile chemistry when combined with Roedding‘s gentler but bitter sweet themes of mankind. "Gross, â€" Morose" and KWATâ€"should be commended for a skilful effort. For those who prefer their wit sophisticated and the content controversial, KWAT and others are evidence that modern theatre continues to be an artform with stimulating meaning and social relevance a guide to family and friends. That foresight can be invaluable in a time of stress. â€" t is important to remember that any type of funeral, whether simple or elaborate, can be preâ€"arranged . hilcdc h. td td cth Prociraidiitedcait dietin ind e trai < inlcatd If you would like to have more inforâ€" mation, please call us at 745â€"8445 so we can send you a free booklet on preâ€" arranged funerals or make an apâ€" pointment to see you. 171 KING STREET SOUTH WATERLOO, ONTARIO N2J 1P7 1 (519) 745â€"8445 Chronicle photo 'r siGJonn‘s * i sUBMARINES _ "FORE‘"‘ THE BEST BARGAINS + I TEE OFF WITH CLASSIFIED ADs {., Call 886â€"2830 4 SUMMER SALE VYVU /JV VIB § entire selection of quality suits, sport jackets, coats, pants, sweaters, ... shirts and ties all . . . all at 30% OFF!
