JUNE 2AUNM' Peter Letkernann, music director at Stirl- ing Avenue Mennonite Church in Kitchener and part-time instruc- tor in music at Conrad Grebel College. has been appointed direc- tor of the Inter-Mew nonite Children's Choir for its 1985-86 season. Currently complet- ing requirements for a doctorate in musica- logy at the University of Toronto, Letkemann has previously taught music at Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Indiana and at Cana- dian Mennonite Bible College in Winnipeg. His interests center on fostering "a creative interaction with the Mennonite tradition of singing." Assisting Letkemann this year as assistant directors will be Jane Schultz.
