Participants are not of a very high profile in th 'ir communities, but ti ir own dedication along with the work of coaches, parents and volunteers, helps them to share in ordinary, everyday sports activi- ties just like everyone else. The game they play is floor hockey and these athletes go all out for each of three nine- minute periods. A lot of intensity and a lot of games are packed into one day. The games start Satur- day at 8: 30 a.m. at both the Waterloo and Al- bert McCormick arenas. "The score could be 21-0 and they'll still be playing as if it's a 2-2 tie." said Laverne (Red) Reichert, co- chairman of the Spe- cial Olympics. Teams compete at three levels according to ability. Level one and level three games will be played at the Albert McCormick arena and level two games will be held at the Waterloo arena.
