It has often been said that those who take part in recreational boat races stand a breed on their own â€" and there was no evidence to the contrary during Saturday‘s 18th annual Conestoga College Spring Thaw Boat Race on the Grand River. There were boats and navigators of all sizes and description and the mood was one of merriment as enthusiasts took off from Conestogo Bridge for a few hours of fun and thrills.
