It is this aspect of the valley that Snyder hopes to convey in a series of 40 pen and ink sketches entitled Valley Sketchbook which will be published in the Chronicle starting March 13. The Grand River Valley covers an area of 2,600 miles, and in his sketches, Snyder has spanned the entire area "from Dundalk to Dunnville." Themes depict men and women working and playing in harmony with the natural environment.
