The festival will re-create an atmosphere through music; an atmosphere that Waterloo boasted of in the early 1900’s. The inaugural year of Sounds of Summer' was a tremendous suc- cess and this year's will be even bigger and better. The Sounds of Summer is a. family oriented festival featuring music concerts (symphony, rock, jazz. country and folk), drum and bugle tattoo, parade, picnic in the park plus a host of cultural and sporting events. Events will be focused in and around Waterloo Park. This year's planned additions include more musical perfor- mances. greater involvement of area school children, and more local performers. Local musical groups and performers are wel- come to come out and celebrate the arrival of summer at the Sounds of Summer Music Festival.
