Poet Susan Musgrave and cw professor Ken Ledbetter will judge the 1984 Dorothy Shoemak er Literary Award Contest, originally a Centen nial project of the Kitchener public and named in honor of its former chief librarian, k The.contest is sponsored by participating public libraries in Ontario Library Service _ Saugeen, and the Ministry of Citizenship and Culture. It is open to all residents of Grey. Dufferin, Perth, Huron and Wellington counties, and the Region of Waterloo. WMuSgrave will judge the poetry entries, and Ledbetter will judge the prose entries, _ _ 7 Musgrav; was raised on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. She has produced ten volumg of poetry and two works of fiction, along with numerous articles published in periodicals such as Saturday Night and Toronto Ute. Ledbettei has been a prbfessor of English at UW since 1969. and has been Director of the English Language Proficiency Program since 1976. Entry forms for the contest are available at participating public libraries in Grey, Dufferin, Perth, Huron and Wellington counties. and the Region of Waterloo.
