Chronicle Staft Scouts learn a lot more these days than how to start a fire without matches. They are being prepared & play an active leaderâ€" ship role in the future of Canada. Evidence of this is the August 18â€"26 Future Tutor Camp at the Doon campus of Conesâ€" toga College. Two hundred scouts from across Canacda wili gather to acquire adâ€" vancedâ€"technology skills in preparation for the Future World Canadian Jamboree, scheduled for midâ€"1985 in Gueiph. â€" The scouts, who will set up a tent city at Conestoga College, will divide their time beâ€" tween the College‘s adâ€" vanced technology faâ€" cilities and the Ontario CAD/CAM Centre in Cambridge. They will acquire handsâ€"on skills in computerâ€"aided deâ€" sign, microcomputer programming and ap plications, robotics and telecommunications . In 1985, they will use these skills to act as facilitators for the Fuâ€" ture World national} jamboree, which is exâ€" pected to attract 15,000 scouts.
