PAGE 30 - WATERLOO CHRONICLE, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13, A half century of Sis- kins. Waterloo Siskins Jun- ior B hockey team has been together so years and their reunion this weekend has already exceeded expectations in some ways. They had hoped for at least 30 entries for their parade Saturday afternoon and have 40. Many entries are floats but some are fire trucks and the success- ful 1983-84 team will be assembled on a big Catbed. In fact, reunion co- ordinator John 'Nomp- son is aware that Sis- kins all-Ontario cham- pionship has added greatly to the success of the reunion. “The fact they played hockey so late in the season and were so successful kept hockey uppermost in people's minds," said Thompson. "They're the only team to win seven times in 50 years and it had its dramaties asso- ciated with it." The team had its links with past this season, as well. Coach Gerry Harringan and manager Pete Brill were both on the 1964 championship team and goaltender coach John Reinhart was on the 1954 championship team. ‘l LIVE (_,)" s“ " ( E LOBSTER w _ SHIRE” g , SEAN"!!! l A". ii, The public open house scheduled for June 14, 1984 and the public meeting of the Engineering Committee of the Regionol Waterloo Council scheduled for June 21, 1984 have been postponed until further notice.
