The program is open to youths between the ages of 12 to 16 and gives them the oppor- tunity to volunteer in such areas as: clean. ing, painting. helping seniors, camp eounseir ing, lawn care, garden- ing, pet care and first aid. Teen-Aid is run by Kimberly Strickler. David Petrovich. Bon- nie Shortreed and Scott Elliott, all students at the local universities. The Canada Works Project pays the salary of the four organizers and funds all other ex- penses. A series of guest speakers will provide the teens with insight to many possible ca- reer options. The speakers come from a wide area of fields and will instruct the youths on how they should gear themselves to ful- fill their career aspira- tions. The program also offers a wide variety of recreational activities for the teens.
