Locker Talk The Church of the Holy Saviour in Waâ€" terloo ushered in the Christmas seaâ€" son Sunday eveâ€" ning with a Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols. The ceremony, held to mark the beginning of Advent, featured carolâ€"singing proâ€" vided by a massed choir of all Waterâ€" loo Anglican churches. The girls played very competitive games on Saturday at WLU first beating Guelph 52â€"38 and then taking Eastwood 41â€"29 capturing the 1983 CWOSSA crown. A special thanks to coaches Mrs. Bev Hayes and Craig Nickel plus all the supportive fans. . This weekend Bluevale hosts the annual Dr. Pepperâ€"Bluevale Junior Boys Basketball tourâ€" nament with teams from the twin cities, Brantford, Guelph, and London entered. Now that exams are over, BCI is preparing for the Christmas season. Torch Fund is collecting for the House of Friendship both with money and canned goods, and the annual collection of Canadian Tire Money continues to purchase toys for the play rooms at Kâ€"W and St. Marys Hospiâ€" tals. A Video Christmas Dance will be held Friday, Dec. 9 with entertainment provided by Audissey Productions. Cost is $2.50 for Fee Card Holders and $5 for nonâ€"fee card students (who have been previously signed in by December 8 by a fee card holding BCI student).
