The Waterloo County Secondary School Athletic Association track and field championships were held Thursday and Friday at Kitchener‘s Centennial Stadium and it was all sunshine and blue skies, the best weather anyone could hope for. _ And the performances of athletes were up to expectations as well. Waterloo collegiate Vikings, under head coach John Orchard, scored 329.5 points for their seventh firstâ€"place finish in eight years Nick Cipp of Bluevaile (right) finished second to Southwood‘s Doug Conâ€" siglio (left) in the senior boys 3,000 metres. That‘s Mark Weist of St. Jerome‘s between them. Striking Vikings WCI storms County track â€" again WCI‘s Kim Legge (left) finished ahead of Sharon Piskorski of Waterlooâ€"Oxford in this heat of senior girls 100 metre hurdies and ended up third for the day. Richard O‘Brien Photos Bluevale collegiate Knights finished fourth with 205 points.
