Menno Singers, the 50â€"voice choir from the Kâ€"W area directed by Jan Overduin, will per form a spring concert in Kitchener, Camâ€" bridge and Gueiph on three different weekâ€" ends in April. The concert will feaâ€" ture music by K. Vaughn Williams and J.S. Bach. Organist Barrie Cabena will perform three Vaughn Williams chorale preâ€" ludes as well as accomâ€" pany the choir for the Bach motet,. Jesu, Meine Freude (Jesu. My Great Pleasure). The concert will be performed first on Satâ€" urday. April 9 at 8: 30 Menno Singers‘ concerts grace area churches p.m. at St. Mary‘s R o m an Catholic Church, 56 Duke St.W in Kitchener. 1t will be repeated on Sunday. April 17 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Road, Cambridge (G). The third rendition of the concert will be Saturâ€" day. April 23 at 8:30 p.fn at St. George‘s Anglican Church, 99 Woolwich St.. Guelph. The beautiful unacâ€" companied Mass in G minor is brought back by the Menno Singers 10 years after their first performance of the work. Vaughn Wilâ€" liams‘ composition combines elements of a contemporary idiom with graceful, melodic lines reminiscent of Renaissance composâ€" ers such as Byrd and Palestrina. Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for students and seniors and are valid for any of the three concerts.
