Debs reached the final by defeating Woolwich 7â€"2 and Ajax 85. They lost 6â€"4 to Gloucester, but came up big in the semiâ€"finals with an 8â€"0 win over Kitchener that coach Ron Derbecker called the most enjovable game of the tournament. Their only loss in regular play was also to Etobicoke by a 5â€"4 score. like champions despite being left out of the winners circle. Thunderbirds lost 6â€"2 to the host Kitchener team on Friday and were edged 3â€"2 by Gloucester Saturday before running up against good goaltending in a 6â€"4 loss to West Ferris. Vikings also played Saturday, losing 62â€"48 to St. Jerome‘s Lions in a game that meant little since both teams had already clinched a semiâ€"final berth. by three with 1:20 reâ€" maining.
